A Summertime Ramble - August 2014

Sunny weather with a light breeze made for perfect conditions for the Friends' gentle stroll around Ecclesbourne Glen and meadow last Saturday morning.

Various experts from the Friends were on hand to chat about the history of the area (Steve Peak), the flora (Jacqueline Rose) and the wildlife (Alan Parker).  Jill Howell also gave us recipes for some of the hedgerow fruits we spotted on our walk - sloes and blackberries.

All in all a very enjoyable event - wonderful views, good companions and lots of interesting information!
