Red Flanked Bluetail - November 2014
There was excitement on East Hill on Tuesday Nov 4th when Andrew Grace, one of the Hastings Autumn Migration Watch team, found a Red Flanked Bluetail in cliff-edge scrub.
This robin sized bird breeds from northern Finland across Siberia, and winters in India and SE Asia. This was only the second recorded in Sussex, unfortunately it moved on rapidly and was not seen after Andrew's initial sighting. Well done !
