Plant Galls Workshop - July 2016
The Friends enjoyed an extremely informative illustrated talk, not only about plant galls but also leaf mines, given by local naturalist, Keith Palmer.
This was followed by a short walk along the lane outside Place Farm to search the foliage for any signs of mines or galls. The combined efforts of fourteen pairs of eyes soon spotted various leaves of interest, all of which were keenly examined through our hand lenses.
It was agreed by all to have been a most successful event and Keith has been invited back to lead another workshop for us next year.
